Accessing password protected pages

I access a website that is protected by htaccess username and password.

Each time I enter the site I am prompted for the username and password.

Does the N70 not have a way to remember/store this information and save me from entering it every time?

The built-in, default browser doesn't (unless the site accepts them by you defining them in/for the bookmark).

The site could also send a cookie that the phone can save and send to that site to handle the login (if the site has been designed to allow cookies for login).
