Vodafone Live TV

If I access the vodafone live service using the awful built in N70 browser, there Mobile TV link is in the Entertainments menu as it should be.

If however, I open the same web page (using the same access point) with Opera, the link to the Mobile TV is not there anymore and the page looks slightly different.

Why?

Is it not possible to access the full Vodafone Live content with Opera?

opera is a web browser for mobile phones,it allows mobiles to look at the web. the n70 web application is a wap browser with html "capabilities"(not many)

Hi make sure that realplayer's default connection is set to contract wap also as if its not then you won't be able to recieve the video stream.
I had to set this after getting my vodafone branded N70 with the generic firmware, after changing this it works perfectly.

Kirkton. Live TV works fine with the build in browser and real player. I just wanted to dump the build in browser altogether and use Opera instead.

So my question is, can you access vodafone mobile TV via Opera?

Hi pagemakers

I have tried connecting to vodafone live with opera and as you have already found out no you can't connect to the mobile tv feeds from opera. As vodaphone haven't put links to the service that opera can access, if they did then I don't see why it couldn't as it would pass control to realplayer to handle the video stream.

I think vodafone maybe only let you access the mobile tv through a wap browser to make sure that its a mobile phone connecting to the service and not a PDA for example. Just a thought I could be totally wrong.

Hi Stezo2k

Just go into menu select imaging, startup realplayer, select options, scroll down to settings and enter, select connection, select network, and click on default access point, you'll then get a list of all the available connection types wap should be one of them.

After that it will be all set to recieve mobile tv.

Hope this helps

heh, I was hoping you meant something else then mate

tired that too, but no luck. just wont connect

thanks anyway
