I am having problems when I attempt to install a .jar file.
I copy both the .jar and .jad into a sub dir on my memory card. Do I actually need both?
Use File manager open the .jar, installer starts. note that most are unsigned
select to install on mem card (same effect if install on C: drive).
most get as far as unpacking icons or copying files and the phone eventually hangs. so have to cold start and normally reset date/time
what am I doing wrong?
Where do the .jar files come from? Do they contain Java apps intended for mobile phones (the .jar and .jad file formats could also contain "full" J2SE apps intended to be used on, e.g., PCs)?
You don't need the .jad file (usually the .jad file is just for finding the .jar file and if you already have it...).
Most came from Download.getjar.com and are are listed as suitable for nokia 9500.

If you think its possibly the site then would you have another site that you recommend?
