Going to get my N70 flashed on monday...
It's currently on a vodaphone branded 2.0539.1.2
What differences can i expect from a generic flash update?
Is it much faster unbranded?
Does anyone know about tom tom yet? I want to purchase it but whether or not it's working 100% still seems a bit vauge...

N70 on Vodaphone - probably won't see that much of a difference. It just wont be branded. There may be performance improvements thanks to the updated nature of the firmware (i.e. a few bugs fixed etc).
Tom Tom - essentially most people only run into problems once they have multple POI etc. Running a vanilla install seems to have no issues. Also only some people are having issues.
Actually there are a lot of improvements going from 2.xx to 3.xx on N70.
I don't know if I am allowed to post here the list of bugfixes (since it is supposed to be "Nokia internal" but it is anyway floating all around the 'Net).
The main thing is that the "ringtone bug" has been finally fully fixed. Also it appears to have better compatibility with older applications. And a lot of bugfixes and improvements 😊
Also, going from a vodafone-brand to a no-brand, while it does not improve speed of the phone, gives you less limitations (and it eradicates from the ROM that ugly red and white teme :P)
