I think the difference is just the trial period.
I was wondering what happens to programs that are compressed,
when the trial runs out? & how long is the trial period ?
i don't know cuz i also have the full version. i mean to compress the files you need to "pack" them with Smart Compress and then you don't see them anymore on your menu screen! you must "unpack" to see them again! if you pack them and then you're trial version runs out..... i think you won't see them anymore!! correct me if i'm wrong!!
Hoi du,ig gloube dass die Trial nid aablouft, genau wg dm Grund...
schtell dir vor, alli Progys wr nr eifach komprimiert 😮
Ig has jetzt scho sit m release druf:s louft wi immer...
(ig gloube me kriegt eifach keis Update ohni full)
Gress us Basu vo m Brnr 😉
in english:
hello u,i did not believe, that the trial runs out.
Becauswe the reason of the less compresst progys.
Imagine, they would stay comprimized after the trial runs out 😮
I have the trial on my phone since the release:it works like always.
(i think there will be only no update without a full)

Thanks for all your input.
Sami, when did you install the Smart compress?
Shadow, it seems that the demo version can pack and unpack too which means functionality of demo is the same as full vesion. correct me if I'm wrong.
Strange... a trial software that don't end and fully functional. There must be a limitation that we are not aware of.
JyriKs' comment is interesting.... what will happen to the packed apps if trial period ends...
if it is so then u don't need the full version!!
Just got a reply from them:
Dear Tom,
> I was wondering what happens to programs that are compressed,

They will remain in compressed state. But in some days will publish
new version of SmartCompress with much more features, and in that
version if the trial runs out user will be available to start it
anyway and restore compressed application, but archive function will
be blocked until registered.
> & how long is the trial period ?
15 days.
uups,so i must unpack it...

Thank you so much Tom for taking the initiative to write the author 😊
Now everything is clear to me. But one thing I noticed... after I've downloaded and installed the "TRIAL" version from the authors' page, I don't see any alert or message that I'm using TRIAL version or that I'm using the application for 15 days something like that.
That's why it's confusing on how will people will know when it's time to UNPACK the PACKED items 😞
AGain, thanks 😊
what happen when you packed a file then the trial period expires??? does it will remian packed???

we need more reviews and feedback on this. if it does the trick life smart compress, then this will be a great app!
Strange, I have that SmartCompress installed and it still works OK.
I installed it, according to log on phone, in nov/8/2002 :-?
Apparently there is quite a long trial period then.
And that MemoryMonitor is a great app for compressing the memory
but it does not compress apps like sCompress.
question: smart compress compresses them files when u're not using them but your memory status stays the same, right?

compressing the memory? what do you mean?
SmartCompress compresses the files (to zip format) and you cant use
the files unless you uncompress them with SmartCompress.
memory status stays the same, right?
What?
If you mean that does it free up "memory", then the answer is yes, your
C: drive gets freed from the compressed amount of space.
ANd you can use it to compress RAM memory as well. (like with MemoryMonitor)

There is in 7650:
Drives:
C: with 4Mb
D: with 440Kb
Z: with 15Mb
and then there is the memory, which is something like 4Mb, I think. :-?
And it is used when running programs.
And MemoryMonitor compresses that space.
i mean your memory get freed when you compress it. but what if you install some more and use this free space for other apps and then you wanna use one of them "packed" apps you have, what happens to your memory?? the memory status stays the same, cuz it is just virtually "freed" but not really freed cuz the apps are still there!
