9500 freezing

This will be a long one...

I've had my 9500 for about 6 months now. It has worked great with T-Mobile.

About a two months ago, I noticed that my phone was frozen. I could see the icons on the desktop, but the backlight would not come on nor would any of the keys respond. Same thing in the front of the phone. I could see the background, but no keys would respond and the screen backlight would not come on. Removing the battery and rebooting brought the phone back online.

This went on for several days. Periodically, at random intervals, the phone would freeze and I would have to reboot. Finally, I sent the phone to Nokia. They flashed the firmware to 5.something from 4.22 and returned the phone. I inserted my SIM and went on my way. The phone still freezes. So I call Nokia. They tell me to replace my SIM, which I do. The phone still freezes. So I replace the SIM again, w/out copying over my numbers (a blank SIM except for the phone number) and the phone still freezes.

Off goes the phone to Nokia again. Nokia replaces the phone with a NEW one. Firmware is 4.22 and in goes my SIM. The phone is still freezing.

If I put my SIM into my 9300 or my 6260, both freeze at random times. My 7280 does not freeze.

I feel pretty sure it's not the phone as the problem follows the SIM. I do not believe changing the WIM will work as I've done it three times, but I cannot determine what might be causing the freeze. For about five months, the phone worked fine without a hitch.

I was wondering if T-Mobile might have updated their SIMs so that they would not work in non-T-Mobile phones. T-Mobile will not help me as they don't support my phone.

Anyone on here got any ideas?

Thanks

Cliff

WOW!!! No takers huh...I discovered that when I forward my home phone to my cell phone, the cell phone freezes. When I unforward the home phone, the 9500 works great.
