Really need help with GPS Receiver

Hello,

I've bought one of those random GPS receivers
and it was working fine for about 2 months.
But for the past week it's been dead
and on Tomtom it says No valid GPS signal.
I have a Fuzion Silver Shield GPS receiver
and a Nokia 9300.
The bluetooth connection seems to be working
fine but there is a red led that is always on
the receiver whereas before it was there until
a signal was received and then it was gone.
Is the receiver broken or should i need to change
anything on the mobile or in tomtom?

Thank you

I must admit to not being familiar with that particular GPS unit, but the way you describe the problem, it would seem pretty obvious that the GPS reciever cant get a lock on the satelites. Since there has been no disruption in the GPS system as far as I know, your reciever is most likely the faulty part.

This is further substantiated by the fact, that the thing worked fine for a while and then suddenly stopped - thus you know, that you do have a useable signal in your area.
