So I'm using a Nokia N70 (just received it the other day) with my Blue Solil bluetooth adaptor. Whenever I try to send a song to my phone, it'll work until around halfway or so (no exact point) and just fail! (just as I typed that the song I was trying to send just failed! 😛)
It also fails when I try to send an mp3 from my 6600 to my N70... Is this some kind of Timeout problem?!
Note: some songs have sent.. I've only managed to get 4 so far though! After numerous attempts. Oh, and I have enough memory in both the phone and memory card
Any idea?
Hey dude...I think I've just solved the same problem in the last 24hrs...bit of a compromise though, more of a workaround but works great.
Have experimented with blusoliel and widcomm (patched for any adapter) for a while and nothing seemed to work.
But after uninstalling pcsuite, i found my bluetooth software could send send files of any size. They just had to be sent to inbox on fone. I assigned my inbox to my memory card in messaging\options\settings\other and now have plenty of space.
Easy enough to copy files to folder of your choice in fexplorer or fileman, just have to delete file in inbox through messaging utility afterwards (doesnt seem to work through filemanagers)
The compromise is that you need something like oxygen phone manager to do some functions like update contacts, calander and that type of thing. You also lose the cool "double click to install application" feature and windows explorer embedding. Have to do send apps via bt, then install at fone and send files back and forwards with something like fexplorer.
Am trying to find better methods..let you know if I have any luck.
Just to test I reinstalled pcsuite (latest version..2.7 I think, attempted earlier versions as well) and yet again , connection started dropping again..uninstalled it again and all was very happy. Sent 48mb video to phone...took a while!
Hope that may be a solution for you, I must admit I have been using widcomm driver since this started working properly. I assume should work for bluesoliel as widcomm did the same b4 this.
Cool

Another cool thing... puppetmaster would only work a few minutes at a time in mouse mode, now it stays online till my battery runs out. Can use "send to" (right on file on pc) to send to bluetooth device.. a bit of relief for lack of explorer support at least
Send to works through puppetmaster as well..very funky
Ahhh! Thats great gtroc!! Thanks very much! I'm going to give that a try.
Just wondering, did you/have you ever managed to get the winamp plugin programs that allow you to use winamp from your phone via bluetooth? I've tried many different apps and none of them will work with the bluetooth...
Cool dude...hope it works for you.
I've never really been into winamp so cant comment for sure, but puppetmaster (again, cool program...www.lim.com.au/PUPPETMASTER/) has a section labelled keymaps. That includes a winamp setup already. I use it with powerdvd, acrobat and vlc no problems..
Just have to jump back and forward from keymaps to mouse mode to achieve all functions. You can also use its "browse files" section to search yr whole pc..can launch files on pc from it and view txt and supported pics on yr phone over bt.
I use that to launch file with associated app, then switch to keymap or mouse mode to control...very funky toy indeed
Enjoy...be good

And be sure to reboot the N70 after any testing that doesnt work...it never fires up after a failure for me...
and try setting your power saver time out to something pretty long...only thing that still fails my phone during big transfer seems to be when the power saver kicks in
