Viewing the number used by an existing contact

Q. When I've missed a call, Log just shows me the name of the caller. While this is very friendly, it would be useful to know which number they were calling from (e.g. home or mobile) and also show the number itself, so that I could dial back from my own (cheaper) landline. Can this be done?

Hi,

I have an issue with no incoming caller ID being displayed on my N70, even though the callers information has been stored in my contacts.

Can anyone suggest a "fix' to this problem as it can be annoying when you miss a call and no information is displayed to ring them back.

Cheers

If the caller's network is not sending it at all (their calls show up as "Private" or "Call", then there's nothing you can do about it; you can ask the caller to change their privacy setting, or if it is a network operator issue, ask them to do something).

If, when they call, you see their number, then make sure that you don't have any duplicates (the same number stored under different names, or multiple copies of the same name).

Hi,

And thanks for the reply, with the problem I am having it is showing "Call"
whilst the phone rings.

When I retrieve "Missed call details" It shows the following: No Number + date/time of the call.

This falls inline with what you mentioned, however this occurs even when privacy settings are not in place on the "callers" phone.

There is also no duplication of numbers in the contact/sim contact lists.

It's sounding like a maintenance trip to a nokia service centre may be in order, or maybe it's time for a new phone.

Cheers
