I bought my nokia 3230 six months before and i have been facing alot of problems with my phone it automatically hangs up and refreshes itself at times when i type text messages, some times when i am viewing images and yeah one more thing when ever i turn it OFF and then turn it ON the screen remains blank white and the display doesnt appear i cant see tht nokia(shaking hands) logo on the screen but i still can hear the startup music(tone) i tried to call frm my another phone to nokia and i can hear tht someones calling means i can talk even with the blank white screen. can you guys tell me whether its a firmware problem or it might be some hardware fault? applications works quite slow as well. the phone is still in warranty.
it has its original firmware installed i.e v 3.0505.2
Might be best to have a Nokia service center update the firmware.
thanks for the kind response. i'll just go to the nokia service center tomorrow first thing in the morning and what if its a hardware fault? do you think nokia gets you a new phone replacing the faulty phone? and if yes then is tht phone BRAND NEW like box pack one??
If a firmware update is enough, depending on their workload and flashing equipment they have, they might do it while you wait, or longer (longest if they have to send it away).
If there's a hardware problem, how they fix it depends on what the problem is, what parts they have, etc. In any case, they are unlikely to give you a new, boxed phone.
went to the MZ(dealers) service center today, they said its a HUGE MAJOR fault, screen gets blank white because of some problem in its display panel which is right behind the LCD screen i saw tht panel :S software is fine its a hardware fault SAD scene i told them to replace this phone tht guy said if it happens again and again for 3 -4 times then the company will issue me a brand new phone, im gonna get my phone back on 11 sat 2006. *hoping for the best for happen*
