Hey ya guys, i know this would have been asked so many times but i couldnt find anything on it. I have a 6600 and im wanting more memory....around a gig or 2. Has anyone got 1 or 2 gig mmc cards working in there 6600 or is that a big no no:con? ??? thanks

Wirelessly posted (Nokia3100/1.0 (05.30) Profile/MIDP-1.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.0)

Listen pal,the heavy mmc you use,the slower your device gets because the processing speed remains unchanged. So if you want a big memory on 6600,512 mb card is world wide recommended. It hardly affects your phone speed.but if you use 1 gb or higher card then your phone will get too slow, which can cause device errors in longrun.Get a 512mb card,or if you want 1gb card get a phone with superior processing speed like the nokia n series phones.

That's like asking what the processing power of a PC is, it depends on how new it is. Symbian Series 60 is just the operating system, it's not a particular set of hardware.

The very latest Series 60 phones (for example the Nseries) have the very latest processors and can cope with 1 or 2 gigabyte memory cards. They also have much more RAM.

The 6600 is much older (over two years old!) and is much slower and has difficulty with 1 or 2 gig memory cards, which didn't even exist when it was designed.
