Hiya all, this is my first post to the forums so I'll try and keep it simple.
Basically, about 2 months ago my phone would turn off randomly, however this would mostly happen in my pocket when pressure was being applied to the phone. I relised this was because my cover was loose and pressure was being put on the top of the phone near the 'on' button. I purchased a new cover and this solved the problem, however, the phone would still turn off sometimes and would be really difficult to turn back on (I would get a white screen and the 'nokia' logo would not appear and after 5 seconds or so the phone would turn off and I would have to try again). I sent it away to be repaired and it was found that the backup battery had some corrosion, this was cleaned, and I got the phone back working completely fine.
However, the day I got the phone back it was working completly fine, no problems, and that night I plugged it into charge, I woke up to find that the phone had once again turned itself off, however, when trying to turn it back on I would get the white screen, and the 'nokia' logo would litrally flash on the screen, then several vertical coloured lines would appear on the phone and it would turn off again. I have tried it with a friends battery to no avil, so once again I have sent the phone back to be repaired.
However, the only way to fix the phone that the repair people can think of is to reflash the phone, but in order to do this the phone needs to be turned on, hence my problem. I have been told that a force flash has been tried but once again to no avil.
So basically my problem is that the phone simply will not turn on, I get the nokia logo for a split-second, then some vertical coloured lines for a split second, then the phone turns off. This whole process takes about 5 seconds from turning the phone on to having it turned off yet again. Remember that the phone was working perfectly, and all I did was plug it into charge overnight.
I know this is a very long post but I'm trying to explain it best I can, as the only way that we have thorght to fix the phone so far is with a reflash. So basically I want to know if anyone has either had this problem, or knows how to fix it without a refl;ash, also, is their any way that a reflash can be done without the need for the phone to be turned on.
My phone is currently with a repairman who I am in constant contact with by e-mail.
Please help me as I am at my witts end 😡
Many thanks
