I bought new Sedo X on 4th Feb. My Sendo X battery is Discharging within 3 hours even it is not used. My phone is get hot during cahrging. Anybody face
same problem. What is the remedy for this proble. Please help me.

There are so many inherant faults with the X that if I was you i would take it back and get a refund...

I had to take court action to get my refund because i left it too long (nearly a year), waiting to see if new firmware would solve the problems, but as Sendo now do not exist the chances of new firmware to solve problems is basically non-excistant.

If you do a search for my posts here you will see what I mean about problems...and similar problems others have had.

Hope that helps you with your decision.

Really Helpful advice there cash.

On to actually helping our friend here, maybe you could give us some more info about teh phone and hopefully we can point you in the right direction

1) Whats the firmware? Go into tools/about and press right once or twice and you'll eventually find a screen with SW info on. Need to know 2 things.... 1) there's a number that begins x1. ....... You can also find this number out by typing *#0000# from the front screen. 2) in that about screen theres a GSM sW ver number........ whats that?

2) Where do you buy your phone from? Was it from Ebay?

Believe me mobilewonder.. its the best advise anybody is going to give him, I was a firm supporter of the X, untill I realised that all the usual problems would never be resolved...and as far as I know they still are not resolved,

Sendo now does not exist, so getting spares will become increasingly hard

New firmware is going to be very unlikely

And there are much better phones on the market

He only had the phone for a couple of days, and thats the best time to return it if its faulty (it took me 6 months and I had to go to court to get my money back)

There are many people here dissolutioned that the X is a good phone, when really we all know that its not.

My advise still stands...get a refund and buy another phone.

Flash the phone to the latest firmware and see if the problem is solved. The early firmwares (the original ones that came with the phone) had all sorts of problems like this.

Let's be clear about this:

The Sendo X using the latest firmware (from sendosmartphones.com) has two fundamental problems, both of which are hardware faults:

Problem 1: Dodgy microphone
Solution 1: Get a replacement microphone from sendosmartphones (you'll need a Torx 6 (?) screwdriver to fit it as well). There's a thread on the forums describing how to do this, it's not difficult.

Problem 2: IR module always on: battery life < 1 day
Solution 2: Turn the phone on and off a few times and the problem should go away. On my phone you can tell when this is happening because you can actually see a red glow, weird but true. However, the problem does come back intermittently so removing the IR module completely is possibly a better solution. Bluetooth, by the way, works perfectly.

Otherwise the latest firmware is quite stable. It has a few issues that mean I wouldn't recommend the Sendo X to someone who uses their mobile phone a lot. My own Sendo X is an OggPlayer first and a phone second. I make maybe one or two calls a day using it, but it plays oggs all the time! For that use it's pretty much perfect 😊

you are of course entitled to yor opinion cash.

My point really was that its quite possible to fix this specific problem with the X with a little information and that simply saying " take it back " because the X hasn't satisifed your needs isnt actually helping this person.

I'm actually personally interested in the major issues you had with the X.

Ok, i'm aware that some people may experience problems receiving call during MP3 playback, and that this varies a lot depending on the actual phone you have.

I hear that a small percentage of people have IRDA problems which can cause low battery life. Only seems to have popped up on more recent firmware versions, and you seemed super unhappywith yours the moment you got it.

Lastly, i know that the early X's had an issue with a faulty Microphone component.

So whats your problem exactly?
