Wallpaper Problem

I wanted to change the wallpaper on my 3230 (i got is yesterday- feeling out of my depth already, but i'm sure i'll catch up).
I have edited an existed theme on the phone 'theme 1'.
I changed the wallpaper and 'go to' picture to a user defined picture that i took with the camera on the phone.
When i preview this theme, the picture i chose appears on the screen.
When i then apply this theme however i'm left with a very boring very bright white screen. 😡
I'm getting very frustrated and this is bugging the heck of me. Everytime i pick up my phone it nags at me.
Can anyone help me? Or give me a pointer on another way to change my wallpaper.

im not sure if this can help you..

go to MENU then themes. choose the themes you like.. then OPTIONS choose EDIT.. go to wallpaper, change it instead of none choose USER DEFINED then press ok. after that choose the wallpaper you want from phone memory/MMC...
