N70 Help Needed!

Hi

I have copied all the contacts from my old LG phone to my N70 using the SIM card - but all numbers are showing as "mobile" and not as general/home,etc - I cannot find a way to change the phone number type! How do I do it that is easy and quick? Can it be done in Nokia PC Suite?

Many thanks.

Can you not edit each contact, copy the number from the mobile box to the correct box, then delete the one from the mobile box?

As for phone suite, i have no idea, as i think its a total waste of time, all my needs for phone/laptop interconnecting are handled fine by windows.

One of the easiest ways would be to sync the contacts with Outlook on your PC, edit them in Outlook then sync them back up again, much quicker than doing it on the phone Id think

thanks -

Locoblade: sorry but i tried to sync in outlook 2003 but im not doing it right. Do i need to set up some sort of profile on the phone first? im connecting with usb - i can use pc suite but am confused on how to get the phone contacts into outlook. Do you know of any links to a faq/guide?

many thanks

You get the phone contacts into Outlook with PC Suite by using the "PC Sync" app ("Synchronise"😉 in the PC Suite main app "menu".

You can also edit them directly, if you use the "Contacts" app of PC Suite.

Latest PC Suite is 6.7.22 and you can get it from http://www.nokia.com/pcsuite
