N70 automatically defaults to Nokia ringtone from an MP3 ringtone — Nokia N70, N72 and N90

Hi Guys

I'm new to this forum and I haven't been able to find any threads on this subject, so apologies in advance if this is the wrong place

Basically I have set an MP3 ringtone on my phone (by going into gallery, then tracks, and then clicking on 'set as ringing tone' on the appropriate ringtone. i also changed the ringing tone for all profiles.

For a while this seems to work, but now it just automatically reverts back to the Nokia ringtone for calls. It still lists the MP3 ringtone as the ringtone in my profiles, and I can't seem to change it. I tried with the phone in the General profile and I have also created a new profile to try it in but the same thing happens.

Recently it just picks which ringtone to use, sometimes the MP3, sometimes the Nokia tone. Do any of you guys know what could be up?

Try putting the ringtone on your c: drive instead of f: and see what happens.

As per EinZtein said, put the ringtone you set in drive "c" also will help a lot if you reduce your log duration to one (1) day. You have to go to: menu - log - options - settings - log duration (there you chose 1 day and you are ready now). I used to have the same problem that you have and I�ve done all the above decribed and now the problem it�s gone.
