I remember on my old Psion 5 and 5mx that there was a ROM drive on drive Z
Obviously, being ROM, one couldn't write to it, but there were lots of interesting files therein.
Does anyone know of such a drive on the 9210?

Yes there is a Z drive, I haven't found a way to access it directly from the system.
An access to the Z drive has been added in SmallBase for file selection in a pecular field type.
There are several ways to access the Z drive
From JeP
I used Zip Manager.. i think there is other ways too..
Just compress whole Z drive and decompress it to somewhere (d) and you can examine those files..
You cannot actually access to z but it's fun to look what those files keeps inside and learn more about Linda..
and
Start the web browser and "ctrl + o" as you say, then "file///z"
