interactive VIDEO application - HELP!

Hi ALL!

I would like to develop an interactive video application for a mobile device for my masterthesis. For a prototype version I would take one specific device (something from the s60) or even just use the emulator, in other words my first try doesnt have to be SO generic 😊

The most important for me is the be able to use multimedia libraries (possibly without a great cognitive effort) and to be able to "controll" the video stream in the sense of assigning or choosing "sensitive regions" in it, which are visualized (or at least being able to draw graphics content over the video layer..)

So hier comes the BIG question:
Could u sincerely tell me what kind of development enviroment I should take? Java MIDP (with the MMAPI packages) or C++?

I will be VERY grateful if u answer!

Best regards from

ninka

Hi,

I think you should develop your app in C++, besause all series 60 devices suports it. If you do something usefull adn if it works fine, you can sell it after 😊
