Jpeg in N70 mp3 player....?

He y'all,

Is there someone who can tell me how to add a jpeg to an mp3/aac so it shows in the top left corner, instead of the headphones.....?
I'dd like a pic of the playing album, or artist to be shown.

Someone mentioned it is possible, and it is, cause he had a pic of it.
I pm-ed him, and mailed him, but up till now, no response (the post was a bit older).

Thanks in advance,

cheers

P.S. an aac player with equalizer.....anybody....?

I know it can be done cause I downloaded a song and it showed the cd cover. Although I have no idea how it can be done.

Here is how you do it:

Music Player can only view jpeg files with size 80 x 80. I created album covers in this size using ACDSee.

As far as I know, N70 only supports ID3 v1 and v2 tags. Only ID3v2 tags support jpeg files. Therefore what you should do is add the jpeg file to ID3v2 tag of a mp3 file using some ID Tag editor software. Like the one I used which is Tag & Rename (you can google it, its very common and popular...).

After this you should be able to see the jpeg file in music player. I didn't try jpeg files greater than 80 x 80, since because the maximum resolution you can see is 80 x 80.

One very important thing to note (I know it will be a bit tachnical but...):
mp4/m4a files use special tags which I believe is not supported by N70 (the jpeg thing anyway). I encoded a mp4 file using iTunes and added a jpeg file to the mp4 file but it didn't show up on the music player.

If you want to tag aac files, rename them to mp3, use tag & rename to create the tags and rename them back to aac.

I hope this helps you. It worked perfectly for me. If you have any questions, just ask. I'll be happy to assist...

I tried all the different id3 versions in iTunes and the only one to display the artwork on my N70 was v2.3, but at the end of each song name is a box, whats that?
