Hello,
My Antivirus software, Kaspersky, on my computer, detected the worm SymbOS.Commwarrior.A, also known as Worm.SymbOS.Comwar.a, according to
this page. It infects phones running under OS Symbian Series 60.
My phone is a Sonyericsson K700i. Not a Series 60, that I know. The problem is that my computer got the worm the minute I tried to use the bluetooth. The worm was deleted from the computer with Kaspersky. For my phone I got a tool from Symantec Security Response. But I can't execute it on my phone. I think it is only compatible with the symbian phones.
Can you help me? Is there any chance my phone is infected? How can I erase the worm from my phone?
My cell phone company advised me to insert a code that would delete all the files, the adresses, etc, I have [and the virus, of course]. I do not wan't to do that because I have vital information I don' wan't to lose. My big problem is that the bluetooth is already malfunctioning - because of the worm, I suspect.
Thank you for your time,
Nuno Ribeiro.
