Hi guys i am new to both this forum and the n70!!
the prob i am having is that i have recently got the phone on "3", a friend of mine got one on"Orange" and his has functions mine does not, i.e. setting picture as wallpaper his does full screen mine does small boring square is this normal?? or am i going to have to do this "de-branding" thing i am hearing tale of???? (also does this phone have capability of gif screensavers??)

trust me, you really dont want to have the Orange version that your friend has. It s horrible (this isnt just my opinion, its a generally accepted fact).
He may be able to load a pic as a full screen wallpaper, but in general it wont be focussed properly and will judder as the phone struggles to flit between how Nokia wanted the phone to work and how the imbeciles at Orange have decided how our phones should work.
Im pretty sure you are the first (and I can imagine the last) person wanting to put the Orange firmware onto a N70 - every other post is asking how to get rid of the abomination!
It really is a horrible mess of a homescreen that removes 100% more functionality than it could ever add!
what ur hearing about debranding is just the normal nokia software the comes on a phone that isnt made for a specific network, which i think is the best, that way there are no restrictions on it, thats how phones come in the middle east, anyways how would you go abouts debranding it, its a firmware flash thats all at a local nokia repair shop (dont know if they will let you) or a phone shop that has the jaf box
Thx for replies guys, might not have made myself clear under no circumstances do i want to put anything from orange on my lovely new phone!!!!!!! just wanted help with a bit of nouse regarding the de-branding and you guys have helped 😊 (aint got the heart to tell me mate bout his upcoming problems though🙄 )
