viewing other mp4 file on N70

hi all

I had tried to put some mp4 video of some songs and clipings , on the phone
and tried to play but was unable to do so .
So is it possible to view that , or only u can view the movie taken from the camera in the mp4 format

Yes you should be able to view it. You might try putting it through the Nokia Multimedia Converter as there are some codes that are not supported (I think!).

You mean 'codecs' 8-)

There are hundreds of minor variations to any digital video format. The whole area is a minefield. For the record, I've had good results creating MP4 files from Quicktime Pro, but I'm sure there are other compatible solutions. Just stay away from any proprietary MPEG-4 codecs.
