6682 data transfer problems

I just bought my phone two days back. ive installed pcsuite correctly, installed all the drivers, and when i connect my phone it recognizes it and allows me to synchronize with outlook express; however, it will not allow me to transfer any data into or out of it. I can't transfer the pictures ive taken off or it or transfer mp3's or pictures onto it. has anyone had the same problem and if so, how can i fix it? I'm not sure if its just some stupid thing that I havent set up correctly since I havent found any forums on the problem. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

How do you try to transfer the pictures? With the "Store images" feature or the "File manager"? What happens when you try? What does "will not allow" mean, exactly? Any error messages?

Latest PC Suite on http://www.nokia.com/pcsuite (in case you have an older version than 6.7.22).

Currently using pc-suite from cd that came with the phone. I've already tried updating to ver 6.7.22, but it makes it even worse. With the newest version if i try to access through file manager or directly through windows explorer to view the phone details it says "could not complete operation." With the version I have currently it says that the computer is recognizing the phone and will transfer contacts through synchronization, but it will not transfer files.

-Lemme guess, a u installing another 3rd party that requires BT/USB connection? Try to turn it off 1st & try it again.
-What windows ver. are u using right now? XPSP2? Firewall?
-Try to restart PC/Phone or pairing it again
-That's not just because of the PC Suite or phone, I ever heard that the problem because an error on hard disk (PC).

im using windows xp sp2 with not bt/usb connections currently. no firewall either. ive tried restarting with phone connected and on, restarting phone etc. with the version of pc-suite (im guessing 6.2 from the disk, but as i said i tried the newest versions as well) that im using i can view the files that are on the phone but i cannot access them, remove them or add from my pc. does the phone need to be "unlocked" to allow file transferring or what? im running out of ideas

YOu should continue to try to use 6.7.22 PC Suite. Try using "store images", does that transfer your images from phone to PC ?

If not, what do you see in Windows Device Manager when you connect the phone to PC (do not use any USB hubs, connect directly to motherboard USB port)
