U don't remember the app name? or it's a network depends?

What do you need to do to get video sharing working?

First, you need to have a phone with video sharing capabilities. As video sharing is a network service, your ability to use it also depends on whether your operator offers the service. You must have a subscription from your network operator to WCDMA and video sharing, as well as the correct settings on your phone. Ask your network operator for the video sharing settings: they may be sent you over the air, or you may use a guided settings application on your phone to configure them.

Using video sharing is easy

Using video sharing is straightforward. When you have an ongoing voice call, you can select and option to start sharing live video or a video clip. On Nokia 6680 it has been made even easier for you: while you are talking on the phone and see something worth showing, you just pull the camera lens cover down and confirm that you want to start sharing. In both cases, an invitation is automatically sent to the person you are talking to. Once that person has accepted the invitation, you can start sharing.

The shared video can be either live video that you are shooting and sharing at the same time, or a previously recorded clip already stored on your device. Either way, you will both see the same video, which you can discuss during your phone conversation that continues uninterrupted. Once the clip reaches an end or you have finished your live sharing, you can drop the video component by simply pressing stop, and then you can carry on with your voice call. If you want, you can also store the live video you shared on your device after the session.

When would I need the service?

Video sharing has a number of uses, such as showing what you mean, or sharing a moment with the person you are talking to. A recent IP Multimedia study commissioned by Nokia in 2004 shows that users would be interested in sharing video for a variety of purposes, such as when they’re on holiday, out shopping, on family outings or out for a Saturday night. Video sharing could provide a sense of personal security by showing where you are and with whom. Possible business uses could include viewing real estate, assisting sales and checking field work remotely.
