hi there the good news is aas previous post you can get your handset unlocked the bad news is that you will have to pay for it!!!😡 if you have had your contract less than 1year they will make you pay and i have heard it can be as much as £200-£250 (dont know the strength of this) but you can have the annoying orange software removed (half screen standby nuisance and the like) by having your handset flashed to a generic firmware version latest i have is v 3.0546.2.3 it resets the handset to nokia production standard and should only cost approx £15-£20 hope this helps 😊

A firmware update to generic/retail version does not remove the SIM-lock.
