Hey guys. Have just bought and installed R66 on my N70. Seem to be experiencing the same problems as everyone is describing with TomTom, i.e. phone crashing, bluetooth connection dropping.
Gonna try the fixes that are in the TomTom thread - rebooting, deleting pairings etc.
Anyone else experienced problems with R66? Makes it seem like it's Nokia's problem NOT TomTom or R66.
Hey all
No joy with R66. Tried all of the workarounds... letting R66 find the receiver (BT77), rebooting phone, offline mode, etc. All failed. Bluetooth connection kept dropping after 10 minutes (ish).
Think it must be an N70 problem so just gonna send R66 back and will have to revert to using paper maps!

Certainly looks like a Nokia issue, though when people have enquired, Nokia claim it's TomTom at fault.
Seems there's no telling whether this will be a problem or not until you try it - some people manage to get TomTom working alright with the workaround, for others it makes no difference.
Maybe the new V5 firmware is where the answer lies. I've also noticed that most people who have this issue have the BT-77 receiver - is this what you have?
In my case, I find TomTom to be fairly reliable even without going through the reboot, connection pairing, etc. I get the odd disconnection every hour or so, but if I use the workaround, it's stable as a rock. Strange.
Yeah, I'm using the BT77.
Had a response from R66 today - they say that Nokia have admitted that firmware versions prior to 3.x have issues with Bluetooth connectivity and they are advising me to update my firmware.
I'm gonna try updating to v5 to see if this helps, otherwise I'll be writing a nasty reply demanding my money back!
