Hi,

I am New to the idea of smart phone, (but not that I am Zero about Hardware & Software)

I recently purchaced my first smartphone Nokia 3230 & did some exploring, installing & uninstalling software.

Well i wish to know more details just as I know my PC IN & OUT.
Details such as
1] how is the Phone Memory & MMC memory organized.
2] where is the OS installed
3] where is the default apps installed.
4] what is the difference between soft reset & hard reset & how do you do it & what are the consequences of the same.
5] how can i uninstall my os & reinstall a new version ( is it possible, if yes what would i require)
6] important key combination to execute a particular command

Also during experimenting there is this app world clock that i cant remove from my phone. what do I do to remove it

Can any one help me with this details

Vicky

1. Usually, phone memory size is small. If u have phone memory full (.kb space left), ur phone could be dead (WSOD - White screen of death). Both of them are formatable.
2. Z: Drive (use FExplorer)
3. C:\System\Apps and E:\System\Apps
4. Soft reset is for normal phone (the phone can still to turn on). Hard reset for WSOD (available for OS ver. 7 & after only). Try search for more info.
5. To do it by ur self, u need a legal firmware, expensive tools and good brain or u just can go to nearest NSC (Nokia Service Centre).
6. I don't understand.
