Problems With Themes - N70 Orange Network

My N70 is really annoying me at the moment.

Have downloaded some new themes and they seem okay until I'm in the home screen, then the wallpaper comes up as a standard Nokia one. Have changed the wallpaper option within the theme to 'default' which I expected to be the new theme background but it's always the Nokia one which stays as background no matter which theme I switch to.

Also having problems with making pictures I have taken as wallpaper - it works but stretches the images out so they look blurred and poor quality.

Is all this down to being Orange branded? Surely they can't have buggered it up this much! 😡

Basically, yes - its all down to the Orange homescreen. All you need to do is look at all the threads for N70s in here - at least a 1/3 of them are related to the godawful Orange homescreen.
Its a case of get it flashed to generic Nokia software at a Nokia Service Centre or live with it....
