N70 MMS: object format unsupported

Hello, i've tried to send an audio file by mms, but was only able to send an .amr file from recorder. When i'm trying to attach wav, mp3, midi, etc. i always get an error something like that: "Unable to attach file. Unsupported object format".
I couldn't find any patch released by NOKIA, or maybe it's normal for copyright? But with video files i have no problems.. Thank you

Yes it could be to do with copyright (well DRM). However I think it because the MMS client does not support attaching these other file types as audio.

Thank you for your reply, but i can't believe that N70 MMS client doesn't support even midi, 'cause i could send them with my old Nokia 3100 :/

Hm it could be a limitation imposed by an operator specific variant. More likely I suppose is its DRM. At the moment I think I'm right in saying that the phone does not distinguish between protected / unprotected content when you try to forward things.

In Nokia's official forum i got this answer:

No patches for that; the "MMS Conformance Document" that you should be able to find on http://www.openmobilealliance.org/ tells that the audio format supported by MMS is AMR (anything else is not likely to work/implemented by device manufacturers, and possibly also not by MMSC developers, either).

Bad news for me 😞 Last hope - 3rd party software..
