Please Help Me
Can anyone tell me if ttm5 works on the N80. I know its a S60 based phone so i think it should work but i have found nothing to confirm this. i'd like to find out for sure before i order one. Had a N70, with all the probs.. and gave it back.
please help, 6sean9.
Tom Tom have not yet announced support for the Nokia N80 (or any S60 3rd Edition Phone), but it is definetely on the way.
As to when? Maybe in a few months?
I have checked this out and can assure you, it wont work. 😡 This N80 is now comming out here(Netherlands). Mine I bought a few weeks ago in Thailand. Also like most people here I have the same problems. Running out of battery very quick, poor wireless WIFI range, almost all my stuff from the N70 wont work and the orginel cd doesnt work!!😮 But I can say this. Wauh this phone is by far the most beautiful one I have ever bought.:icon14: And that were a lot. This one I will keep longer then the others. I just hope that very soon they will have a firmware upgrade that helps with all the problems this N80 has now.:con?
But if anyone has his TT working with teh N80 please tell me how you did it!!:con?

I have actually got the N80 working with the Tom Tom go 510/910 series of units.
Simply tell the TomTom the phone is a Nokia 3250 (which is Series60v3) and Data transfer and bluetooth calling works.
Phonebook download and texts do not, but I get traffic and weather updates no problem.

Handy if you could write a bit of a 'how to' on this mate?
hi evryone i have also tryed so many different ttn 5 on my nokia n80, without any luck.
if anyone know how to install or get tomtom working then email me
No, TomTom Mobile 5 will not yet work on the Nokia N80. This is because it is not an S60 3rd Edition app. TomTom will have to do some work and release a special version of the software for 3rd Edition phones.
Note that Wukfitz is talking about bluetooth connectivity to a standalone TomTom unit.
Hi all,
I've managed to get the N80 working with my Tomtom go 500 by setting the n80 as a n91. Here is how I did it:

On the N80 delete the tomtom from the paired devices. Menu --> Connect --> Bluetooth --> Paired Devices

On the tomtom connect to your phone. Tap screen --> Mobile --> Connect to Phone

When it asks you, "Do you want to connect to '####'?". Where #### is you phone. Tap "NO"

Ensure your bluetooth is switched ON, on your phone and follow the directions.

The tomtom will pair with you phone, and you will need to enter the 0000 password.

If it says that you "unable to use this phone......" tap continue, and do not stay paired with your phone when it asks.

Go to your phone and check if the pairing worked by following step 1. then switch your phone off and then on again.

Follow steps 2,4,5 again.

Keep pressing "Yes" on the phone when the connection message is displayed until the tomtom displays message, "Select Microphone to use:"

On the phone set the tomtom connection as authorised. Menu --> Connect --> Bluetooth --> Paired Devices --> Options --> set as authorised --> Yes

On the tomtom tap continue until it asks if you want to setup your wireless internet connection and tap "Yes".

Select "Nokia N91". If it is not listed you will need to upgrade your tomtom software to the latest version.

Select the Country, and Mobile operator in the next steps. This might take a while.

Read and agree to tomtom sending you details to setup your tomtom.

Answer the question on if you want to answer calls while accessing the Internet. I selected the default.

Continue on the next screen and it should all be done.
I managed to connect to traffic if I have any problems Ill edit this post.
