ClearInputBuffer in Serial Port

hi all how i can clear the input buffer in serial port?? and how i can set thr Xoff and Xlen?
how i can do this
PurgeComm(HandleComPort , 0x8);

and dose the symbian API support PurgeComm ???!!!
