won't send email

Hi.

Got a new N70 Vodafone branded and I am having problems sending emails through the inbuilt email client. I have tried setting up my blueyonder, mac and created a new vodafone account. All the settings are correct, but nothing sends, not even the vodafone. They just stay in the outbox and say queued. Am i being stupid and missing something obvious. I have installed profimail and can get that to work fine but not the standard client. Any help would be great!

p.s. the smtp server is set to send.vodafone.net and it is connecting through "contract internet"

-Try to pull out MMC & try again.
-Follow my guide on below link about 'safe mode', 'format' etc

its a settings issue surely? why would that help...the mmc card has been removed many times anyway

Have you tried using Nokia's Setttngs Wizard. I believe this is available an a download from the Nokia N70 support site. This will step you through creating an email account.

And yes this probably is a settings issue. Obviously it with the sending settings. You might want to check you have accidentally set some of the advanced / other settings (e.g. secure connection / ports specified).

The most common problem for this sort of thing is that you must (well in most cases) use your operators SMTP server. As you note above this is send.vodaphone.net, but you might want to try mail.vodafone.net.
