whenever I am at Starbucks etc. using the available WLAN internet connection I have to reconnect every 2 Minutes with Easy WLAN and sometimes I get the Message "System: Not ready".
When I type an URL the connection dialogue shows up and I choose Easy WLAN. After I am connected to the available SSID the site is loading and then sometimes I get the message "System: Not ready" and the loading stops. I have to reconnect with Easy WLAN. Normally it works in the second try. When the site is loaded and I klick on a link sometimes the connection dialogue shows up again.
The conclusion is that I have to reconnect every two minutes. Sometimes with "System: Not ready" Message, sometimes without. I never had a stable WLAN connection.
Any ideas?

Can u disable your power saving mode? It might help.

Yeah I checked some settings yesterday and the power save mode is really crap! Anyway seems to work much better without the power save mode.

How is the browsing at Wi-Fi speeds? Are you seeing the same issues that were written about in that review posted a few days ago -- that the time it takes for the phone to render web pages is so long that Wi-Fi does not increase the browsing speed any over GPRS/EDGE??
I'm debating whether or not to get the 9300i or 9300, and if wi-fi does not offer a significant speed increase, I see no reason to spend the extra cash on the 9300i.
The only other differences I see are T9 on the cover phone (nice but not worth $300 extra), bluetooth 1.2 instead of 1.1 (nice, but not worth the extra cost), slightly larger battery (again - nice, but not worth the extra cost), color of the phone (who cares), and location of the IR port (I never use IR).

I bought the 9300i 'cos of the form factor and the T9. I had a 9500.
Well its true that there is no speed improvement while using WLAN instead of GPRS. The whole phone is slow in everything. I used a Treo 650 before and this was lightspeed compared to the 6680 and 9300i. :frown:
T9 does not work with me! I am using the english/arabic version (cause I am working in Dubai and I could not get a pure english one). I think thats cause of the arabic support. Dont ask me... Crap again.
The batterie is improved?? Then I would like to see the 9300 batterie! I have to recharge the 9300i every night and it hardly survives one day!
Whats the current firmware btw? I have 05.50(01)
