Nokia seem to be adding regularly to their impressive Flash-based N series site. Added recently seem to be this spotlight on the upcoming N80 and a similar multimedia fest for the clamshell N71. Good stuff...

All well and good, and I'd love to find out more about the upcoming N80, but my (locked) work laptop only has Flash v6, so I can't see any of this new Nokia stuff 😞

Anyone seen any release dates for the N80 in the UK yet? Been waiting quite a while for the release of this phone.

N80 release dates for UK operators are expected to be the first week of May, possibly late April.

<Puts on best Mr Burns> Excellent.

I now what I am going to spend Aprils pay cheque on.

Lets hope Orange don't turn it into complete gash this time. Or maybe it is time to jump ship to T-Mob if their rumoured data packages materialise..................

I'm hoping Orange will put version 2.0 of their software on the phone (the one that will be able to be turned off via options). I really hope they don't wait for the S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 1 phones.

Well strictly speaking I'm not even sure whether Feature Pack 1 has been officially announced for S60... There always new stuff down the road.

Ah well, lets just hope the big 'O' give users the option to get its fingers out of the OS - my only concern with this is that the resource hungry Orange 'features' will still be running in the background and only the front end of the OS will revert back to as nature intended. Patience, I guess, will reveal all.

Ah thanks for that Badger. I couldn't recall it being specifically announced, although its been talked about a fair bit.
