My Nokia 3230 will no longer turn on. If I hit the power button I get the all white screen and then the blue Nokia text but then the text fades out non-uniformly and the phone just resets and does this 3 times before just quitting completely.
While this is happening I hear a few garbled sounds out of the speaker.
Is there any hope to revive this? I'm in the USA and bought it through expansys but it's probably out of warranty and the case is pretty scratched up anyway.
I've got an N80 on pre-order but who knows when I will actually get it.
Doing the hard reset brought my phone back to life!
I just remembered that I got a static shock while getting out of my car earlier today, maybe that caused the problem, though it worked for a few more hours after that.

I am new to symbian series 60 phones. I have bought a Nokia 3230 and I have GPRS service active on my mobile connection. I am being able to browse internet through the default browser very well. But facing problem during browsing internet through some third party software ( Like Opera Mini, Agile Messenger ) and also I have set up my personal email account on my mobile under messeges menu but it is not also working. Please help someone because its important for me to be online through msn messenger and get my emails on my mobile for my profession.

Which country that u're living? AFAIK, opera mini only for several country. I can't use it too.
For setup the right connection, try to use setting wizard (including mail). Get the latest:

Previously I had 3120 with same connection and GPRS. I was easily using opera and agile messenger on that mobile. but I am not being able to connect to internet through third party software or some application other than default browser.... it is saying "you have no active internet connection... please check with your mobile operator...." but if internet connectionis not there then how could I being able to connect to internet through default web browser....????
