I can't backup my Contacts from my 6680. I'm using Windows XP Pro SP2 and have tried both PC Suite ver. 6.5 (supplied with the phone) and 6.70.22 (the newest) ot my Desktop and my laptop, but every time the same result: "Some of the contents can't be copied!" and the log file tells:

I have some expirience with PC and phones, but no luck hier. I've tried the "safe mode", but it didn't help... 😮

It seems that this log is from Nokia Content Copier from PC Suite version 6.7.
The first part:
The following data has been transferred from the phone:
- User files
C:\Nokia\Images\6680_wallpaper_B.jpg
C:\System\Data\Calcsoft
C:\System\Data\Notepad.dat
C:\System\Data\Template.n01
- Settings
- Bookmarks
- Calendar
- Messages
- Contacts
Tells you that it has taken a full backup of your phone and the above data can be, if needed restored back to your current phone model. Your contacts should be there OK.
The last part of the log:
The following data can be restored to other phone models:
- User files
- Notes
- Calendar
Following data was not transferred:
- Contacts
Tells you what type of data you can move to other Nokia phone models. This data is syncronised to PC using the phone syncML client. (the first part of "file reading"😉.
You have actually now 2 separate "backup"-files in your PC, the first one has file extension .nfb and the latter one is .nfc
So it seems that the syncronisation of contacts has failed.
You can try to make a new backup so that you sut down the phone first, then put the power back on, connect the phone to PC and take a backup. This helps ensuring that the contacts DB in your phone is "free" for backup.
I can't backup my Nokia 6630 to the latest PC Suite ver. The PC Suite was succesfully backup my prev. phone (Nokia 3230) without any problem. But when I use it with 6630, just hang. No progress and sometimes I can't close it. I've try to restart PC & phone but just same. Only for the backup that I can't use this PC Suite. Messaging, file explorer, sync.. I can use it.
Pls help.
It seems there is a general problem with PC Suite... I've tried everything: restarting the phone, reinstalling PC Suite (both ver. 6.5 and 6.7), I've tried with USB Cable and Bluetooth and nothing... I can't backup my Contacts :con?
I think there is something with the Phone OS version. I have V 3.04.37 from 01-06-05, RM-36.
Othere thing that bothers me is that by editing the label from a Contact details won't let mi use Capital letters! Now what's that about? On my N-gage I haven't got such problem. 😡
Can anybody tell me if it's possible the problem with the backup to be comming from a program that I've installed? (I've tried with "safe mode"😉. Any suggestions?

How about reinstall all (format pc, reinstall pcsuite, format phone & MMC) for the latest way. If still not working, we'll report it to nokia.
I've tried on my laptop too... so it seems the problem is in the Phone. I'll format it and try again. 😊
Thanks & keep inform so I'm not confuse about backup not running with 6630 but running with 3230 😞 (same PC & PC Suite ver. (latest ver.))
Try using ver 6.6.16 or 6.6.18 as 6.7.22 doesn't give you any option of what you want to backup and does a full backup automatically. 6.6 might not resolve your problem but it at least have the option of backing up your data only and not settings and bookmarks as well. Definitely better than 6.5 and 6.7.
