I have taken it outside for 20 minutes to update the reciever. I have been able to pair it up with my phone....passcode accepted etc....but no luck with the next bit.....wheres the GPRS. Is there a menu option on the 6630 i have to goto to view...do i need a patch.....where is it????

It says it needs no software (reciever).... Would my phone being orange pay as you go have any conflicts do you think. Does it need to be unlocked.....I have emailed the supplier but no response as yet...just wanna be clued up a bit as they will probably ask me questions....

any adivice would be helpful as this is really tiring my brain.....zapp! Modern technology...........

many thanks

cheers

delboy

You dont need any software for the receiver to be recognised on your phone but from there on you need some satnav (tomtom, route66,navicore) or gps software cos a gps receiver is pretty useless without it.

Hello i have a nokia 6630 and was wondering if the reciever works, can you tell me if it works? im temepted to buy one i allready have tom tom 5 on my phone just need the GPS, any 1 had any luck?

Yeah i bought a Holox receiver from the net (about 30 quid from a well known auction site), I too had Tom Tom 5 on my phone and it works fine.

Delboy73, you are going to need a bigger MMC card too, at least a 512M
