ok its been nearly a year if not already been a year since my N-gage was working....last time it was suddenly when i was browsing the internet with it....it all of a sudden came up with "Telephone system error" and so took the battery out since it wouldnt switch off.
when i put the battery back in i tried to turn it on and it first started ok but then turned itself off as the nokia hands came together like the battery was dead.

Try ur phone w/o MMC or try 'safe mode'.

Remember, ur phone only support 'soft format'. If ur phone still can't turn on, only NSC (Nokia Service Centre) is the way.

No that did not work....it does the same thing as u said in the other post i will cut and paste it
Soft Format, usually for the phone that can still turn on. We still can type a code, at least *#7370#.
Hard Format, usually for the dead phone or WSOD (White Screen Of Death). The phone won't turn on or only Nokia logo showed up then turn of. Hard reset only available for the phone SymbianOS 7 and after (Nokia 6600 and after). Symbian OS 6, such as 7650/3650/3660/n-Gage , hard format not available.

NCC (Nokia Care Centre) is the only way. There's no way except u wanna buy expensive tools to repair ur phone by ur self and a good brain.
