problesm with my n70! i need help so bad!!!!

hello!

i just purchased my nokia n70 15 days ago and i just noticed some problems on it theyre not really a big deal but still i wanted to fix it. the problem is that when i go to the calculator and use it, only the +, and - sign appear in the scree and the x, and the division sign wont appear but they are still performing thier task. and another, when i read a message, the signal bar displays on the upper left side of the screen but when i scroll the left or right navigation key to read the next letter, the signal bar wont appear anymore and also an sms icon on the upper left side of the screen if you have unread messages wont appear too. what is the cost of these problems? in a ddition to that, some of the menus like gallery, web, radio, and messaging take long to open. but the other menu is fast. my firmware is v 3.0546.2.3 18-11-05 RM-84.

please anyone can advice me what to do with this? can i download a firmware? is there anylink where i can download it? thanks guys and i will look forward for your help!

Aounds like you've installed something that's interfering with normal operation.

See http://3lib.ukonline.co.uk/viruscleanup.htm for an example of how to have a good clear-out....

thank you so much for the adive but i dont have any application installed on my phone and infact i have a symantec installed on my phone. i also reprogram my phone but still nothing had changed. is there anything you can advice or any software you can advice me to download?

It's quite possibly the unnecessary Symantec thing which is screwing things up. You might want to try removing it.

Also, this has got me intrigued - can you do a few screenshots of the problem screens, demonstrating the problem? There's a free utility to do this here:

U can try Safe Mode with/without MMC inserted or try to uninstall apps installed 1 by 1.

to demonstrate about my problem of my phone, i will attach the screen shots of my phone here. in the picture i attached, it is the messaged that i opened in my inbox and the 3G signal and the message icon that indicates that i still have an unread message appear. but when i scroll the right or left navigation key to read the next message, the 3Gsignal dont appear anymore and also the message icon even if i still have an unread message left. i also have problems with the calculator because the divission and multiplication sign wont appear on the creen, only the plus and minus sign appears.

hope anyone can help....

Pull out ur MMC and try again. If not working too, I sugest u to format ur phone 😊

i already pull out the mmc and format the phone but still not working. what do you think is the problem with this?

i noticed the singla bars disppearing sometimes during nromal operation of my n70 but it didnt bother me that much. but the txt messenge thing hasnt happened i dotn think.
maybe it could be the theme that your using.try a different one

That behaviour in Inbox is normal and a minor quirk. Just an oddity of the scroll-to-next-message code, I think.

I'm more worried about the calculator thing - screenshot please!
