Name of caller does not show - only number calling

Even though I have stored my contacts in the 6260 phones memory, their NAME does not appear on the screen when they call, only their number?? I have tried adding +61 before the number, I have tried moving the contact onto the sim card but the same happens - no name, only the number? Fine when my wife calls but it looks like a caller I don't know when some of my contacts call from their offices etc - can't remember everyone's number!!

Any help appreciated

I assume this is a piece of software for the phone, if so, not sure I can install it on my phone without the proper connection to my PC, any tips? Only have what came in the box and can't see how my phone will sync with my PC.

If the phone came with the CD PC Suite + USB data cable (in the box), then install the PC Suite on ur PC and connect the USB Cable from ur phone to PC.

If not, then u must have USB bluetooth (BT) dev on ur PC. Install it and turn on the bt connection on ur phone and scan for new device (New paired device) from ur phone to detect the the other one BT dev on ur PC. Highlight the file on pc then right click 'send > via bluetooth'.

Or use Card Reader dev. Put ur MMC in card reader then plug the card reader into ur PC. A new drive will appear on ur PC (ur MMC drive) then copy the application (.SIS/JAR) file into ur MMC. Put back the MMC in ur phone. Then use File mgr. on ur phone. Point to the file u've just saved in ur MMC. Click on it and follow the instruction.

Didn't come with a USB cable unfortunately. Bought it from e-bay and it looks like it came out of Malaysia - which may be the reason for the problem in the first place - any thoughts?
Been to the local Nokia care centre to get the software upgraded but I need to prove it is a new phone first....waiting on the e-bay seller coming back to me with more info to prove this. If no luck there, will look at trying one of your suggestions above.

Some great info on the link you sent....just spent the last 1/2 hour modifying my phone😊
Waiting on info to arrive before I take my phone to Nokia to get the software looked at but noticed that when mobiles from contacts call, their name appears on the screen and it appears only land lines don't show who's calling🙄 Strange but we'll see what Nokia say.

P.S. Do you know how to get the font larger on screen when people are calling in? It has a large enough screen but the number and name only appear at the bottom.
