Front screen icons missing HELP

Hello,

Got a problem with my N70 wondered if its common:

Was making a call today and the phone crashed.
Upon reboot, my wallpaper came up but none of the other icons- "Orange" sign, battery and signal metres and none of the orange hompage list up the left hand side.

I can't see anything other than wallpaper, BT don't come up when i switch it on, can't use any short cuts.

The softkey options are still visable and work.

I called orange and they told me to turn it off and back on again.......Hmmmm!.....and to also take the battery out for a bit. Didn't work, of course.

Anyone else heard or had a similar problem.

Should I try reformatting and how do I do this?

Firmware V 2.0537.1.7 18-09-05 RM-84
Could probs do with an update

TIA

U can upgrade the firmware. Usually, upgrading an firmware with the phone still under warranty, will be free of charge (cost) 😊
