Guys, today I made a big mistake and I buoght a SanDisk 512 MB RS-MMC. The problem is that the card works only at 3 V so don't ever think to buy this type.
Although on the pack it was written that the card works with mobile phones and I knew that Nokia supports only dual voltage cards, I forgot to look if the
card is DV or not. Thing is that the MMC is useles, even if the phone sees it you can't copy or modify anything on it. So, keep your eyes open!

The 7610, 6670, 6260 and 3230 support single-voltage/high-voltage (~3V) RS-MMC cards, and do not require dual-voltage (with ~1.8V support) cards. The SanDisk card will work on those phones, so if you can't return it, try to find someone with one or the other of those models to sell it to.

The dual-voltage cards are needed from the 6630 and onwards.

I almost wanna buy RSMMC for my 6630 which is only support for RSDVMMC. It was my fault. I don't read the manual carefully 😞

thx 4 d info dude...m abt 2 purchase 512 MB rsmmc...my last card got cracked i dont know how??? may because of the heat here in India.

1Gb is better then 512Mb, because You have double capacity!
The behavior of the device is the same - not more slow!

I recently bought a Transcend 1 GC DV RS MMC. The card works fine in 3230. However, if try coping some files onto it from a all-in-one card reader/writer, I get an error stating the disk is write protected!.
I have tried,
* Removing drivers of card and using XP drivers
* Blocking the 1 and last copper leads etc
* Creating Reg Key WriteProtect with value 0

all these haven't resolved the issue. Can anybody help me?

If you format the MMC with the phone, NONE of the card readers can copy information from it. You should format the MMC with the card reader (of course,
after you download all your information). I tried to copy my movies with more than 30 types of All-bullshit card readers and none of them worked. Now I
establish connection with PC Suite and leave it overnight to upload/download files.
