remote control for TV — Nokia 6630, 6680, 6681 and 6682

Hai There,

My friend says me that we can remote control our television sets in our nokia 6630. please let me know if anyone has any detail about it and how to go about it.

And also i still cant open text files on my nokia 6630. I tried deleting the mdl files in the recogs directory.

please help..

Try to set 'open with...' with fexplorer.

i dont think u can. unless 6630 has infrared? i no my 6680 doesnt. FExplorer has an option to turn IR on but this (obviously has no effect! Although if yopu can get it to work i would be interested! :icon14:

6630 does not have infrared, so it's not possible to use as Tv remote control

Well, how far (5-10m?) does infra red can be use for remote TV exactly?

hmmm.... i worked it out (very very non scientifically) at roughly 9/10 metres. may differ from remote to remote i suppose. But i had to walk out of the door to get that far! so i think that any longer than that would be pointless? In response to the initial thread

Could your friend of been talking of a multimedian computer being used as a televison? Because alot of the new high-spec machines are being manufactured with bluetooth in-built so it would probably be very possible to control the tv with a program like 'bemused'? Any ideas?
