hi

I am from India. I got this 6630 yesterday. I have the address book imported from 6610 in the form of .nfb file taken from CONTENT COPIER OF NOKIA SUITE.

Now, this file is not getting imported into 6630.. UNFORTUNATELY I have all my contacts in that.. nearly 450 entries..

PLEASE HELP ME IN THIS FRONT.

Thanks
Ganesh

Of course the file will not getting imported into 6630. Different kind of phone model (OS).

Sync ur contacts (6610) with Microsoft Outlook or Lotus Notes 1st via Nokia PC Suite. Then sysn the contacts (taken from 6610 using outlook or notes) to ur 6630.

Thanks for your idea.

But I havent told youone more thing. I have already given my 6610 and its no more with me..

is there any other alrternateive. I just want to recover the contacts. Its k if i can get it in EXCEL or any other application.

So, the .nfb file u still keep it? I read somewhere that u must exctract it (do a litle trick with this file so u can get the contacts back.

The contacts u still have it with PC Suite? I think u can sync it from PC Suite to outlook.

Yup! tried that trick also.. but after i connected the new phone, the contacts in my PC suite doesnt show anything..

Your problem is that you saved it in NFB form, and not in the NFC form. So you cannot restore it directly into another type of phone.

Yes there is. Should you send me the NFB file I can convert your backupped contacts into the CSV file in the Contacts Manager+ format. Then you can import it into N6630 (one Contacts Manager+ for S60 licence necessary for it).

In fact, you can do it by yourselves if you are familiar with the NFB/NFC file structure...

Briefly: Each NFB file made from Series 40 phone contains NCC file which is its contacts database. If you extract NCC file from NFB file you can convert it into the CSV file in the Contacts Manager+ format using our Contacts Converter. Version 1.1 can convert only NCC files, but next version will be able to handle NFB and NFC files as well.
