[FONT="Comic Sans MS"][COLOR="Blue"]Hi! (i wanted to post this thread in the 'Symbian Gaming' forum but i couldnt find it! Anyway..... I installed C2Doom on my N6680 yesterday (and also a friends N70 at the same time) . It is really impressive for a phone. So i have a few questions. I have heard that C2Doom is not only a doom engine and it will play other .wad files if i rename them to doom.wad - is this true? I tried this with a tfc2.wad and it didnt work but would it work with other .wad's?? Also when i go to multiplayer mode the N70 is unable to start as a server where my 6680 is.... any ideas? When we both join a 'deathmatch' game with me as a server, my friend starts in front of a monster who has a shotgun and hes dead in seconds whereas i cant find any monsters or him (his corpse i mean!) So then he cant respawn! Anyone know how to do this??? I have tried killing myself in the acid pool and then we have to start at the very start again!!! Great game but multiplayer problems are hurting it at the minute for me! Please help!!! :icon14: [/COLOR][/FONT]

I have a question,I have a 6680 device..installed the c2doom sis file "doom_s60.sis"
and all the needed *.wad files such as:
doom.wad
doom2.wad
tnt.wad
plutonia.wad
the problem is that when it goes to the loading..... it never get started.
I mean it loads the game,even 5 mins,but to no avail...still loading.
any idea why?
Well, that happend me the first time i tried to play the game after installing it.... if the game is loading properly then a white bar should appear at the bottom of the screen when loading. The first time i had the problem that problem - what i did was to just turn the phone off while the game is trying to load.... then turn the phone back on (maybe even put it on 'offline' mode to make sure you cant receive messages or calls which will slow the phone down) Then give your phone a little while before opening the c2DOOM application. WHen the app is loaded go to Advanced and then to Reset .wad file. Select your .wad file and start a single player game. This worked for me. If this doesn't work for you i'd suggest checking your .wad file and trying another one. At the minute im using DOOM II (DOOM2.wad) I think its the best! [One more thing id say to you is that multiplayer mode is very good! Press 7 for respawn! But make sure your friend whom you are playing against is running the same .wad file and again put both phones in 'offline' mode or equivalent because if one palyer is receiving a message or call it really slows down the game!] Happy DOOMING!
