7610 texting help please before i go mad

hi i can receiver texts but cant send them it says message sending failed
General:memory full.close some applications and try again.
but there is nothing open on the phone.

Did you already try turning the phone off and on? If it's been on for a long time, then the ram might be fragmented and treated as full.

If you've done that, then is your phone memory full of photos/apps/messages/other? You can use the Manager application to check how much free space your phone has. I would expect you not to receive messages as well as not send them, if your phone memory is full; but I've never experienced that myself.

well i went dopwn to the o2 shop today and asked them and all he did was take the phone and format it for me and now its fine
just need to get my tomtom on it now (think i need to use a card reader/writer for that though
