9300b Bluetooth w/BMW 530 Problems

A friend of mine tried the 9300b with his BMW 530 and got sporadic results. He cannot access the phonebook and when on a call and another call (call waiting) comes in, it automatically disconnects the first call. Useless.

Email to Nokia for support, also useless.

Anyone have any idea how to make this phone work properly with a BMW 530?

Thanks.

C'mon! One of you rich guys with a BMW needs to go get a 9300 (maybe I should be posting in a BMW forum) and see if you can make this thing work.

I just ordered a new X5 with bluetooth, so I'll tell you when I get the car which will be in another 4-6 weeks.

My understanding is that most smartphones have problems with loading the address book, but that you can still manually send addresses using the VCard function. Also, the voice command phone book is seperate and you can manually add numbers with voice tags to that address book.

As far as the problem with call waiting, I have not heard of that before.
