Browsing on the N70

7 replies · 1,565 views · Started 15 April 2006

I have a new O2 N70 and browsing is great, much faster than my old 6600, the problem is when I try to enter a secure site/page eg Ebay log in or Lloyds bank the browser says I need a secure connection!
Do I need to acquire a certificate?
I have checked and have about 12 certificates installed but not sure if they are all correct.
Thanks
Steve

in settings>connection>access points>(name of gprs connection)>authentication
see if that makes it a secure connection

or web>settings> & change security warnings to show

Hi Steff,
Thanks for that, I have tried that and no joy i,m afraid.
All of my access points are set to secure, and security warnings are on "show"
I have tried the Opera browser and no joy.
I could log in to Ebay fine with my old Nokia 6600!!

Hi ,
Interestingly I have tried to sign in to a secure page on my Nokia N70 using the Default browser and the Opera browser and I have tried to connect using my O2 access points AND Vodafone access points and the same thing happens every time....
"This resource requires a secure connection"
So that must mean it is a handset setting problem, doesn't it?
It has to be a certificate problem surely,
come on you guys anything??
My service provider say they do not what the problem is!!!
Cheers
Steve

if you still have your 6600 using the same settings try to access the same page simultanoesly & see if its the settings or phone
