hi, MAN !!! I don't know what is happening,
but from the few days I can't format or hard reset my n-gage qd firmware v.4.15 properly using (*#7370# or *#7780#).. when ever i going to format my phone .. its restart like normal and formatting but after doing all these stuff nothing deleted from my c: drive (phone memory) the effect of hard reset is only change my screen brightness and time.. but contacts and others stuff remains the same and even messages.... I think something read only running in background but what is it i don't know.... so all i need is some sort of help or hint.... and one more thing sometimes it sucessfully reset after 2 or 3 trys of hard reset..but when i was brought it... it reset at once.... please tell me what is happening...:con? :con?
Help Needed Formatting N-gage QD
Do you have a memory card in? Try removing and restarting the phone without it, as a first step, then try the code.
Do you have apps installed on c: that you think might be interfering? Try uninstalling them first.
I admit, that sounds like an odd problem. I'm trying to remember if I ever had something like that happen with my 3650 a few years ago, because as I'm typing this, I have vague memories of a time where reformatting the phone didn't behave properly... but it was long ago, and it was never a lasting problem for me if that was the case.
Oh, and when you restart the phone, hold down the pencil key until it's completed restarting and in standby, to be in safe mode.
Are you doing this with the phone plugged in? Is it at least charged?
This problem occurs if you are using FONTS. Check it by using FExplorer. Go to (c:\system) folder and check if you have a folder called fonts. If you do, rename it to something else (for example, Font). Then restart your phone and try to format it again, You should be able to do that now.
everytime i go to rename the fonts folder it says"FExplorer already in use"
How do i rename without FExplorer being used.

That's odd. Never happened to me. Try to use a program called 'font remover'. You can find it at www.symbian-freak.com. Install and run it, you may have to reset your phone after that.
EDIT: I ment restart, not reset. 😊
Listen up friends,
if you really wanna remove fonts directory from the system folder of n-gage qd. so all you need to do is...
Open C:\system\fonts
goto background by using menu key or disconnect or red key
once you are in standby mode.. goto to memory card and backup device.. but when backup started press the menu key for long and select fexplorer and now you can delete or copy (like fonts or contacts etc) protected files
But I am not suggest you all to do this because it requires little amount of skills.. So becareful with that.
