Nokia N73 spy photos?!?

User posted image

Nokia N73 is the mysterious Nokia S60 smart phone we spotted few weeks ago.

This is unofficial N-series phone and there is no guarantee that this phone will be released, it could be fake, but I don’t think so, it seams more like N70 successor, real preproduction prototype.

It should be next N-series release that appears to have a rather chubby 3 mega pixel camera with Carl Zeiss optic same as autofocus/macroshot fea.. ...

Mmm, now that looks even better than the N80 😃

Awesome looking handset.

*EDIT* D'Oh... looks like it's missing wi-fi, that's included in the N80 :frown:

Screen is cool. Though fir its price, i think N70 is the best-all-round phone.

Though if this makes it to the market, it'll kill N80.

But it doesn't appear to have Wi-Fi...if it did then probably your right.

It's funny how you've watermarked pictures grabbed off the net.

It's also funny how you use this site just to promote your own...

That's right, he always does it.

Maybe this site and the other one are from the same guy.

I absolutely dislike the design of the N73..

It actually reminds me very much of the design of the Sony Ericsson W800i
which I hate and which look childish, like a plastic toy from a Kinder Egg!!!
Only thing missing is the orange color.

This pi**es me off!! I like the technical specs of the phone, but I hate
the design...

I know there is a new chief of design hired now in Nokia, maybe this is
the first result of his/her work.. Oh my god PLEASE do not design the
Nokia phones like the childish boring Sony Ericsson phones!!!

😞

I hope this designer will not f*ck up the phones like chris bangle did with the BMW models

I still like the N70 the most of all N series, just because it looks the most basic and cell phone like

Ditto, exactly my feelings too. No flips, clamshells, sliders etc.

Strange as my previous handsets were a 7650 and a 7110 but I've always disliked handsets with moving parts as I view that as a potential mode of failure. Give me the classic simple candy bar format anytime. Sometimes though you have no choice when you are seeking other features too.

Been trying to pin down some extra (confirmable) information about this before posting a news story.

The N73 as most people have speculated is essentially an N70 upgrade. It does not have WiFi (though I think there will be an N70 /N73 like device which does). It has the QVGA screen and a better camera and runs S60 3rd Edition, otherwise it is much the same as the N70.

The N72 is a different beast, no precise details yet but it is not WiFi or WCDMA (GPRS / EDGE only) has a low resolution (176x208) screen, and runs S60 2nd Edition (2.8) (Symbian 8.1). Looks to be veyr much like the N70 but without 3G of front facing camera - possible for the US / non 3G market?

The N93 is a transformer device in the modl on the N90 / N92. It has a QVGA screen, a decent camera and is a 3G device and has WiFi.

FYI: There's no arrangement between apoc and AAS that I know about it. I did ask him to desist from pure promotion pieces a while back, but to be honest AAS has never had a particularly stringent policy on linking to your own site. If it purely spammy it goes (or repetitive), but otherwise I'm reasonably tolerant. If Apoc is reading this perhaps he could tone down the self promotion aspect of this?

Hmmm... I'm not a fan of the design. This "iPod" white thing only really works for the iPod. The shiny silver buttons remain me of toys I had when I was younger. I expect this thing to have LED lights and make phaser noises. HAHA

Seriously though, I think the design needs some work. But the screen does look amazing. I think I will stick my N70 til something can truly replace it. I'm not concerned with OS9 just yet... in fact I'm glad I got something with 8 simply for software compatibility. I'd like to find something with WiFi just because of the talk about T-Mobile USA sporting WiFi calling. I'm sure a little more RAM and processor power will be included but, eh, I think my N70's still gonna be in my pocket a little longer.

Same here, When I buy my next phone it really should have a build in GPS receiver and Wifi. And a camera with a faster shutterlag and not so blue'ish LED

Liquid_Li0n wrote:And a camera with a faster shutterlag and not so blue'ish LED

do you mean the keypad lights?
